A multi-line health care enterprise operating primarily in two segments: Medicaid-managed care and specialty services.
The Medicaid-managed care segment provides Medicaid and Medicaid-related health plan coverage to individuals through government subsidized programs, including Medicaid, the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), and Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
The company operates health plans in Georgia, Indiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas, South Carolina and Wisconsin.
The insurance provider commissioned Onshore to prove Windows Server Support, as well as Unix and Unix Middleware Server Support.
For Windows Server Support, Onshore resources built virtual and physical servers. Onshore continues to maintain the Windows environment and troubleshoot server issues.
For Unix and Unix Middleware Server Support, Onshore resources provide a majority of their support via the terminal, managing the virtual hardware using VMWare while patching and configuring servers through Red Hat Satellite and Puppet. Onshore resources add and modify users on the server.
Concerning Middleware support, Onshore resources manage the application through the terminal and also manage access to specific applications—such as Subversion and iProcess—via their respective user management tools. This team also provides troubleshooting for server issues.
For repeatable application management tasks, Onshore builds scripts using Jenkins to perform the necessary functions with increased ease.
