Originally from Collinsville, IL, Betty joined Onshore as the Human Resources Manager in 2019. Betty is responsible for all Human Resource and Recruiting functions including the employee lifecycle from hiring and staffing to retirement, payroll, employment law, wage and hour compliance, benefits, compensation, performance management, diversity, and culture development to include diversity, equity and inclusion, Her spans over 30 years of experience in Human Resources in the nuclear power industry, law enforcement and other industries.
Prior to Onshore, Betty served in the US Marine Corps for seven years. Her career as a senior level Human Resources professional with multiple nuclear power facilities drove leadership development, succession planning and performance management resulting in multiple successful industry reviews.
She successfully developed Human Resources programs in new organizations and acted as change agent in multiple industries. In Betty’s time in the Marine Corps she won 10 awards and two meritorious promotions. In her Human Resources career she developed and implemented a leadership development and succession planning program that resulted in a 50% increase in positive feedback, was a nuclear industry co-chair of INPO’s Organizational Readiness Working Group Committee and a key member of Electric Utility Nuclear Human Resources Group, STARS Training Working Group and the Knowledge Management Working Group. She successfully introduced the Pursuing Excellence Strategy Integration model, reduced time to fill positions by 30% in under one year and developed and rolled out knowledge management programs in the largest nuclear fleet in the United States.
In her time off Betty is a lifelong horsewoman who has successfully competed on regional and national levels. She owned and managed a horse breeding, training, and boarding facility for over 10 years while also working full time in Human Resources. She now enjoys time trail riding, reading, working on remodeling her 1890’s house and rescuing animals in need.
